Vale World Cup

The Year 7 & 8 ‘Vale World Cup’ Indoor Soccer (Futsal) tournament kicked off during first break last week in the SAC.

17 teams are participating in the lunch time tournament that involves 15 student teams and 2 teachers’ teams all vying for the title of ‘Vale World Cup Winners!

Spain and France have opened their campaigns with resounding victories over Australia and Croatia respectively but the big question is…will anyone be good enough to beat the teachers?

Good luck to all students involved!

Homestay Families Required

Would you like to make a new friend? Would you like to learn more about Japan and Japanese pop-culture? Why not host a student from our Japanese Sister School this year?

We urgently require more homestay families for our group visiting July 26 - August 1.

These students will likely look after our own students who visit Japan on our school trip. If you've ever thought about going to Japan one day, this is a rare chance to make a friend that could look after you in the future.

If you are interested in sharing your home with a student from Japan for 6 days, then please come and see Mr Middleton in DS09 or email bmidd32@eq.edu.au, and collect an Expression of Interest letter.

Holiday Programs

Earn and Learn

Dear Parents/Caregivers – The school is collecting Woolworths Earn and Learn stickers again this year. Thank you for your support last year which enabled us to choose sporting equipment that all students have access to. The SEP Unit was also given equipment which is vital to enhancing student movement. Please take stickers to the front office or to Sharon Skennar in the HPE Office near the SAC.

Parent Tools for Cyberbullying

Please see the Australia Government eSafety Commissioner website for tips and tools to assist your child.
